Do You Know Where This Fatal Hit And Run Suspect Is?

Investigators with the York Regional Police Homicide Unit are seeking public assistance to locate a suspect wanted for Failing to Remain Causing Death following the death of a man in the City of Markham.

On Monday, October 9, 2017, shortly before 5 p.m., York Regional Police received a report that a man was unconscious and in need of medical assistance on Stirling Crescent. When officers arrived, they located a 30-year-old man, suffering from injuries. He was transported to hospital where sadly he succumbed to those injuries.

The victim has been identified as 30-year-old Michael KHAN, from the City of Markham.

Investigators released an image of a vehicle involved that was captured on video surveillance in the area at the time of the incident.

Through the investigation, officers have identified the suspect and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. Investigators are looking to speak to anyone with information on his location. We are also encouraging the suspect to obtain legal advice and turn himself in.
