The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a break and enter in Chatham earlier this year.
On February 18, 2014, police responded to a break and enter at a residence on Tweedsmuir Avenue East. At this time, the homeowner reported that an unknown man entered his residence while he was cooking supper. The homeowner confronted the man who fled the area on foot. The scene was examined and evidence was seized for forensic analysis.
In June 2014, police received information from the Centre of Forensic Sciences stating that a DNA profile was generated and matched that of a local man.
Last night, police located the man on Grand Avenue East. Jamieson Brideau, 40 years, of Ninth Line in Raleigh Township has been charged with break and enter. He was released with conditions pending a future court date.
