(WALKERTON, ON) On June 21, 2013 at 3:13 am, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a possible impaired driver. A White Dodge Caravan almost struck a pedestrian that was crossing Yonge Street South in Walkerton. Officers stopped the van near the intersection of Highway 9 and Side road 5 in Brant Township and found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. 27 year old Dmitriy BOGATCHENKO of Richmond Hill has been charged with Impaired operation; Operate over 80 milligrams and Drive while under suspension. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 29, 2013 to answer to the charges.
