(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On January 12, 2017 at approximately 1:25 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received report of a vehicle in the ditch on Colborne Street near Beattyline Road in Centre Wellington Township.
Officers located the 1995 Chevrolet pick-up truck in the ditch and upon speaking with the driver an odour of alcohol was detected on his breath. A Roadside Screening Device test was conducted which resulted in a fail. He was arrested and brought to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.
26-year-old Cory DUNN of Mapleton Township has been charged with Care or Control Over 80 Mgs contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on February 14, 2017.
His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days as per statute.
