(TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH, ON) – On February 3, 2018 at approximately 9:00 p.m., a member of Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on general patrol when he observed a vehicle enter the ditch on Highway 10 just south of 70 Sideroad in the Township of Chatsworth.
The lone driver, who showed signs of impairment, was arrested and transported to the Markdale OPP Detachment for breath tests, which he failed.
34-year old Ameon Ronald PAGE of the Township of Chatsworth was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with over 80 mg of alcohol in the system. His licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on March 15, 2018.
There was no damage to the vehicle and no injuries reported.
