(LONDON, ON) – On February 10, 2018, at approximately 11:00 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 402, near Colonel Talbot Road.
Upon their arrival, officers determined that the 56-year-old male driver of the vehicle was impaired. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to a police station for further testing.
As a result of the police investigation, Allan Joseph RATH, of London, Ontario, has been charged with Driving While Ability Impaired, Driving with More than 80 mgs. of alcohol in Blood and Driving while Disqualified pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC). The accused has also been charged with Possession of a Schedule II substance – Cannabis, pursuant to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).
The accused was held in custody pending a court appearance in London on February 11, 2018.
