(GODERICH, ON) – On September 1, 2012 at approximately 4:30 a.m. Huron OPP officers stopped a black Pontiac Vibe on Cambridge Street near Britannia Road East. Upon speaking with the male driver officers noted he had been drinking alcohol.
The driver failed the roadside screening device and later provided two samples of his breath to a qualified intoxilizer technician. Both tests were above the legal limit.
Devin STURGEON, 28, from Mitchell has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol and Driving Motor Vehicle with Liquor Readily Available. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on October 15, 2012. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
