On October 8, 2016 just before 6pm, police responded to investigate reports of a robbery taking place in the area of 160 Meadowlands Boulevard in Ancaster. It was indicated that while a group of young people (14 to 16yrs) were playing basketball they were approached by 3 teenage males on bicycles.
The suspects made demands for property and assaulted one of the teens who resisted. Suspects stole multiple smart phones from the youth and fled north towards the soccer field.
No serious injuries requiring medical attention at the time were sustained.

The suspects are described as:
Suspect 1 – black male in his late teens, above 6′, medium build, short hair, red hoodie with ‘The North Face’ written on the left breast, jeans, riding a small size bicycle. The male had a nose and ear piercing.
Suspect 2 – black male in his late teens, approximately 6′, skinny build, short hair, black hoodie, black undershirt, jeans, riding a similar style bicycle.
Suspect 3 – black male in his late teens, well above 6′, skinny build, short hair, hoodie, jeans, similar style bicycle to both other suspects.
