Detectives Investigate A Serious Collision At Upper Wentworth Street and Queensdale Avenue East

On Thursday July 28th 2016, just shortly after 4:00pm, Hamilton Police officers, EMS and the Fire Department responded to Upper Wentworth Street and Queensdale Avenue East after receiving reports of a motor vehicle collision.

It was indicated that two (2) vehicles were involved, a motorcycle and a van.

The 25 year old male motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported to the hospital where he is listed in serious but stable condition.

The 65 year old female driver of the van and her 15 year old male passenger were also transported to hospital with minor injuries and later released.

The Hamilton Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit was called in and has taken carriage of the investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed this collision but has yet to speak with police is asked to contact Detective Constable. Wes Wilson at 905-546-4755.

While alcohol has been ruled out as a factor, Investigators will be looking at all other circumstances surrounding this collision.
