On Sunday July 10, 2016, just shortly before 2:30pm, Hamilton Police officers were dispatched to a home in the area of Kensington Avenue North and King Street East after receiving reports of a stabbing that had just occurred.
It was indicated that a male victim was assaulted inside of a residence by a suspect(s) known to him. During the altercation it was indicated that an edged weapon believed to be a knife was used, which assisted in the victim sustaining serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect(s) fled the residence prior to the arrival of police.
The Hamilton Fire Department and EMS also attended the scene and rendered medical assistance to the victim who was later transported to the hospital.
Detectives are still gathering details in relation to this investigation and are appealing to anyone who may have information about this crime to contact them.
