Death Investigation Update – Lori Anne POWELL Found Deceased Beneath Overturned Snowmobile

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has identified the deceased from this morning’s death investigation as Lori Anne POWELL, age 29, from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh.

Officers responded to a Prosperity Line farm just after 8:30 a.m. after the owner of the property found an overturned snowmobile on his property. The driver was found beneath the snow machine without vital signs. The victim was later pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officers from the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) Team attended the scene to assist with the off-trail collision investigation.

The cause of the death has not been determined however foul play is not suspected.

A post-mortem examination has been scheduled for March 5, 2014 at London Health Sciences Centre.
