Daytime Break In At Rural Residence

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) At 2:30 p.m. on Friday January 27, 2012 homeowners on Line 6 west of St.Marys contacted police advising that their residence had been entered and items had been stolen.

Investigation by the Perth County OPP revealed that sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Friday January 27, 2012 an unknown person approached the two storey rural home located on the south side of Line 6. Entry into the home was made by the unlocked porch door on the west side of the home adjacent to the driveway. Once inside the porch an interior locked door was forced open. The home appeared to have been searched with some cash and jewelry being removed.

Anyone having observed suspicious persons or vehicles in the area of Line 6 during the time in question is requested to contact the Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
