(Bruce Peninsula – Saugeen First Nations, ON) – On Friday, November 29, 2013, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of Bruce Peninsula OPP, Bruce Peninsula Crime Unit, West Region Tactics and Rescue Unit, the Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit, and West Region Canine, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a property on Highway 21, Saugeen First Nations, Bruce County.
As a result of the execution of the search warrant police seized cannabis marihuana, methamphetamine, cocaine, cannabis resin, and offence related property that consisted of trafficking equipment. The combined estimated value of the seized controlled substances was $2,280.00.
33 year-old David Wesley of the Bruce Peninsula is charged with possession of marihuana for the purposes of trafficking, possession of cocaine, possession of cannabis resin, and possession of methamphetamine.
The suspect was held in custody for a bail hearing.
