(GODERICH, ON) – On March 4, 2012 at approximately 6:30 p.m. Huron OPP officers located an impaired driver that had earlier struck a parked van on East Street and a recycling bin on Anglesea Street. Officers were responding to a citizen complaint about the erratic driving.
Officers stopped the driver of a black Pontiac G6 as he was attempting to reverse out of a private driveway on East Street. Upon speaking with the driver, officers noted he had been drinking alcohol.
David STEWART, age 29, from Central Huron has been charged with Drive with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol, Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor. He will answer to the charges in the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on May 7, 2012. He was issued a 90 day automatic drivers licence suspension.
