(TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) – On Sunday July 14, 2013 at approximately 2:21 am members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting R.I.D.E. spot checks at the intersection of Highway 89 and Southgate Side Road 49 in the Township of Wellington North.
At that time and location officers investigated the driver of a 2011 Ford Fusion that entered into the checkpoint. Police spoke to the driver and discovered that he had been drinking. The male was administered a Roadside Screening Device test which resulted in a fail.
David Reesor aged 51 of Owen Sound has been charged with Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on August 2, 2013 to answer to the charge.
