(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Saturday February 02, 2013, at approximately 10:20 p.m. Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Hwy 23 and Perth Line 24 (north of Russeldale).
A Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck had been driving south bound on Hwy 23 as it entered the ditch at the Perth Line 24 intersection. The male driver left the vehicle and made his way to his nearby residence. Shortly thereafter the male was arrested at this residence for impaired driving and was transported to the Perth County Detachment in Sebringville where he failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests.
David MCKAY (37) of the Municipality of West Perth has been charged with Impaired operation of a motor vehicle, and operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. He is scheduled to appear in Stratford Court on Monday March 11, 2013 to answer to these charges. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle has been impounded for 7 days.
