David Kennedy – Drunk Driving

(Central Huron, ON) On October 10, 2009 at approximately 5:30 pm a Huron OPP officer was patrolling on Bluewater Hwy in Central Huron. A traffic stop was initiated for a vehicle that was speeding and as the officer was speaking to the driver, she detected an odour of an alcoholic beverage coming from the drivers’ breath. The officer made a demand for the driver to provide a roadside sample of his breath and he complied. The result was a fail for the driver and he was arrested for Drive with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. The driver was taken back to the Huron OPP Detachment where he met with a qualified Intoxilizer Technician to provide two more samples of his breath. The readings confirmed that the driver had over the legal limit of alcohol in his system at the time of driving.

The result is that David Kennedy (47) of Bluewater has been charged with one count of Drive With Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol and one count of Speeding. He will answer to his charges on December 7, 2009 in the Goderich court. His licence has also been suspended for 90 days.
