Darwin VALLANCE – Drunk Driving

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Tuesday July 02, 2013, shortly after 10:30 p.m., a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer in Listowel observed a pickup truck being driven erratically along Main St. West. The truck drove over a curb, swerved on the roadway and pulled onto a variety store parking-lot.

The officer approached the truck and spoke to the driver who displayed signs of impairment. The officer also observed a small amount of marihuana inside the vehicle. The male driver was transported to the Palmerston OPP Detachment where he failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests.

Darwin VALLANCE (51) from Harriston has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood, and possession schedule ll cannabis marihuana under 30 grams. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Listowel on August 14, 2013, to answer to these charges. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
