Darwin Porter – Drunk Driving

On August 20, 2009 at approximately 9:00 pm a Huron OPP officer was patrolling in the Bayfield area. The officer began following a pickup truck that was traveling at a slow rate of speed and swerving in its’ lane. The vehicle was stopped and upon speaking to the driver, the officer formed the opinion that he was impaired by alcohol.

The driver was arrested and taken to the Huron Detachment where he met with a qualified Intoxilyzer Technician and provided two samples of his breath. The results of the tests confirmed that the driver had over the legal limit of alcohol in his system.

Darwin Porter (55) of Central Huron is now facing one count of Impaired Driving and one count of Drive With Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He will return to Goderich Court at a later date to answer to his charges.
