(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Sunday September 25, 2011 before 3 a.m. a Perth County OPP officer on patrol in Listowel observed a pickup truck make a wide turn as it travelled west on Inkerman St. and turned north onto Nichol Ave. North. The vehicle was pulled over and the driver was spoken to. As the officer was talking to the male driver the odour of an alcoholic beverage was detected on the driver’s breath. The driver was given a roadside breath test which he failed. He was transported to the Palmerston OPP Detachment where Intoxilyzer breath tests confirmed blood alcohol levels above the legal limit of 80 milligrams of alcohol.
Darcy Dobson (47) of the Municipality of North Perth was charged with operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. He is scheduled to appear in Listowel Court on October 26, 2011 to answer to this charge.
