(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On November 24, 2017 approximately 1:35 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) check on the Hanlon Parkway near College Avenue, City of Guelph. At approximately 1:35 a 2018 Hyundai Elantra entered the R.I.D.E check.
While speaking with the male driver officers believed him to be driving while under the influence of alcohol. A Roadside Screening test was conducted which resulted in a fail. He was arrested and transported to a local OPP Detachment for testing.
46-year-old Daniel REYNOLDS of League City, Texas, has been charged with Driving with Over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. He is scheduled to attend Guelph Court on December 22, 2017.
