(WALKERTON, ON) – On July 21, 2013 at 1:55 pm, a South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol along Scott Street in Walkerton signalled the driver of a Beige Mazda M3 to stop using the cruiser emergency lights. The driver refused to stop, but the officer found the vehicle a short time later, abandoned and running, at the intersection of Victoria Street and Scott Street in Walkerton. A quantity of illegal drugs was found in the vehicle. The driver was located later in the day and arrested. 25 year old Daniel RANDALL of Brockton has been charged with Possession of a controlled substance, Drive while under suspension, Fail to stop for police and Breach of probation. He has been held in custody pending the results of a show cause hearing scheduled for July 22, 2013 at 2:00 pm.
