On August 30, 2015 at 9:19am the people parking their vehicles in the rear lot of Angels Diner on Hespeler Road were caught by surprise when a 45 year old Cambridge man aggressively drove his pickup truck into the lot, at a very high rate of speed, squealed his tires and swerved from left to right. Waterloo Regional Police traffic officers were in the area when he drove towards the four officers. The male was ordered to stop, was removed from his truck, and arrested for Dangerous Driving and Impaired Driving. The lone driver is scheduled to appear in court in October. The public is reminded that your blood alcohol concentration can still be above 80 milligrams (the legal limit) the morning after a night of drinking.
