On December 10, 2012 at 5:30pm, Guelph Police responded the area of Silvercreek Parkway South after receiving a call about two vehicles racing. Prior to Police arrival, a call was then received advising of a single car collision on Silvercreek. The driver of the involved vehicle fled on foot shortly after the collision. Investigation revealed that a blue Hyundai Tiburon had lost control and struck a tree in front of a residence.
Continued investigation led to the eventual arrest of a 22yr old man from Guelph. He was charged with Dangerous Driving and numerous Highway Traffic Act offences. He was held for a bail hearing.
