(WALKERTON, ON) – On October 17, 2012 at 8:12 pm, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of property damage at the former Walkerton Public School located along Colborne Street South in Walkerton. Officers arrived to find that the main entrance door had a window smashed out, but no one was found inside.
On October 17, 2012 at 3:17, South Bruce OPP officers responded to an alarm at the former Walkerton Public School on Colborne Street South. A window was found smashed and the gym door was propped open when officers arrived, but no one was found on the property.
On October 12, 2012 at 5:42 pm, the South Bruce OPP received a report that someone had thrown a rock through a window of the former Walkerton Public School, but no one was found inside.
Damaging someone else’s property is a criminal act called Mischief. The offence of Mischief carries a maximum penalty of 2 years in prison where the value of the damage is less than $5,000.
