(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Tuesday evening March 06, 2012 shortly before 11 p.m. a Perth County OPP officer stopped a motorist on Perth Line 86 west of Listowel. The odour of an alcoholic beverage was detected on the driver’s breath.
A roadside breath test was administered which the driver failed. He also failed two subsequent Intoxilyzer breath tests at the North Perth OPP Detachment in Listowel. The driver, Dale Priestap (38) from Huron-Kinloss Township, has been charged with “operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of bloodâ€Â. He is scheduled to appear in Listowel Court on April 04, 2012 to answer this charge. He was issued a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
