Woman Charged with Impaired Driving CK15008055
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman following a motor vehicle collision.
Just before 4:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon, a citizen observed the woman strike a parked vehicle on King Street West in Chatham. Police were notified of the incident and an officer on general patrol located the woman driving her motor vehicle at the intersection of William Street and Wellington Street. The officer initiated a traffic stop and through investigation believed the woman was operating her vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The woman was transported to police headquarters for breath tests where she refused to provide a proper sample.
Michelle Tetreault, 37 years, of Fort Street in Tilbury has been charged with impaired driving and failing to provide a sample. She was released with conditions pending a future court date of April 8, 2015.
Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrants CK15008017
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman wanted on outstanding warrants.
Yesterday morning around 8:15 a.m. an officer on general patrol observed a woman riding her bicycle on Thames Street in Chatham. A query of the woman revealed that she was wanted for failing to attend court, failing to comply with release conditions, breaching her probation order and drug possession.
The 22-year-old woman of no fixed address was transported to the court house pending a bail hearing.
Motor Vehicle Collision CK15008020
Shortly after 9:00 a.m. yesterday morning, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Keil Drive South near Riverview Drive in Chatham.
Neither driver was injured. Total damage was estimated at $8500.
A 57-year-old Raleigh Township woman was charged with an offence contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
Break and Enters in Chatham
The Chatham-Kent police are looking for information regarding two separate break and enters in Chatham.
CK15008092 – Sometime between March 23, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. and March 24, 2015 at 9:30 p.m. unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked garage on Park Street. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a teal coloured Makita circular saw valued at $175. CK15008096 – Sometime March 24, 2015 between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. unknown suspect(s) entered a residence on Grant Street and stole a 40” RCA TV valued at $700. Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Rob Herder at [email protected] or 519-436-6600 extension #8676.
