Man Charged with Domestic Related Offences CK15002763
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a domestic disturbance.
On January 30, 2015 the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence in Chatham and began arguing. Upon being asked to leave, the man assaulted the woman. The man fled prior to police arrival and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Through investigation, officers learned that the man was breaching several release conditions. On February 2, 2015, the man contacted the woman to discuss his criminal charges.
Yesterday morning, the man was located and taken into custody. The 41-year-old Chatham man has been charged with assault, obstruct justice, break and enter and failing to comply x3. He was transported to the courthouse pending a bail hearing.
Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK150003146
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman wanted on an outstanding warrant.
On January 30, 2015 a warrant was issued for the woman as she failed to comply with conditions of her Probation Order.
Yesterday afternoon, officers located the woman on Churchill Street near Grand Avenue West in Chatham and she was taken into custody. Upon being searched incident to arrest, the woman was found to be in possession of crystal methamphetamine.
The 18-year-old woman of no fixed address has been charged with breach of probation and drug possession. She was transported to the courthouse pending a bail hearing.
School Bus Involved in Collision CK15003152
Around 2:40 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Keil Drive South in between Park Avenue West and Richmond Street in Chatham.
A vehicle rear-ended the school bus near the train tracks. Neither driver was injured. There were no children on the bus at the time of the incident.
Total damage was estimated at $4500.
A 47-year-old Chatham woman was charged with start from a stopped position not in safety.
