The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 119 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Two people were arrested on outstanding warrants.
Break and Enter CK15011762
The Chatham-Kent police are asking the public for assistance regarding a break and enter in Chatham.
Sometime between April 13, 2015 and April 27, 2015 unknown suspect(s) entered an apartment on Park Avenue East and stole a filing cabinet containing jewelry and cash valued at $2600.

Theft of Welding Cable CK15011745
The Chatham-Kent police are looking for information regarding a theft in Chatham.
Sometime between April 24, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. and April 27, 2015 at 7:30 a.m. unknown suspect(s) entered the fenced compound of Fabtech on Colborne Street. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole four 150 foot rolls of welding cable. Total value of the theft is approximately $1600.

Motor Vehicle Collision CK15011761
Just before 10:30 a.m. yesterday morning, police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Park Avenue West in Chatham. The driver lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and struck a hydro pole.
Luckily, the man was not injured. Total damage was estimated at $8000.
The 29-year-old Tilbury man was charged with careless driving and driving without a qualified passenger as per his G1 restriction.
Prescription Drug Drop-Off Day
The Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) is once again proudly supporting ‘Prescription Drug Drop-Off Day’.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service will be participating in this initiative on Saturday, May 9, 2015. Between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. anyone may attend any of the designated locations below and anonymously drop off expired or unused medications. This community safety initiative is organized in an effort to keep medications away from individuals for whom they were never intended for.
In Chatham-Kent, unused or old prescriptions may be dropped off:
– Wallaceburg Service Centre, 786 Dufferin Avenue, Wallaceburg
– Chatham-Kent Court House, 425 Grand Avenue West, Chatham
– Municipal Centre, 19 Superior Street, Tilbury
