The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 110 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Two people were arrested.

The Chatham-Kent Police, Fire, EMS, OPP as well as the residents of Chatham-Kent are being called to action this month. The call is in support of ‘Uniforms Unite to Save Lives’ — a month-long blood donor campaign that promotes the need for blood. Roll up your sleeves and help us save lives.
Today, there will be a blood donor clinic at St. Mary’s Hall in Blenheim from 2:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Please be advised that there will be a Chatham-Kent Police Services Board Meeting today at 10:00 a.m. at police headquarters, 24 Third Street, Chatham.
Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK15010315
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted on an outstanding warrant.
In May 2008, the man was issued a Province wide driving prohibition for unpaid fines. In February 2009, the man was issued another driving prohibition for remedial reasons.
On March 16, 2015 around 2:00 p.m. an officer on general patrol observed the man driving on Selkirk Street in Wallaceburg. The officer initiated a traffic stop and charged the man with two counts of driving while under suspension. His vehicle was towed from the roadway.
On April 8, 2015, the man failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Last night around 9:30 p.m. an officer observed the man driving on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg. The officer initiated a traffic stop and the man was taken into custody.
Spencer Riley, 31 years, of Book Street in Wallaceburg was released pending a future court of May 13, 2015.
Man Charged with Driving with No Insurance CK15010251
Yesterday afternoon around 12:20 p.m. an officer on general patrol was travelling on Base Line near Lowe Street in Wallaceburg when he observed a man driving a truck with expired licence plates. The officer initiated a traffic stop and through investigation learned that the man was also driving with no insurance.
The 58-year-old Wallaceburg was charged with driving a motor vehicle with no validated permit and operating a motor vehicle on a highway with no insurance. The man’s truck was towed from the roadway. He will be required to attend court on May 13, 2015 to answer to the charges.
Man Charged with Being Intoxicated in a Public Place CK15010320
Last night at approximately 11:30 p.m. officers located an intoxicated man on Inshes Avenue in Chatham. The man was unable to care for himself and was taken into custody for his own safety.
The 41-year-old Chatham man was charged with being intoxicated in a public place. He will be released when sober.
