Man Charged with Criminal Harassment CK15009715
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a domestic related investigation.
Yesterday, a Thamesville woman received numerous unwanted text messages from her ex-boyfriend. Despite her requests for him to stop communicating with her, the man continued. The woman feared for her safety and contacted police for assistance.
The 34-year-old Chatham man was taken into custody and charged with criminal harassment. He has been held pending a bail hearing.
Windsor Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK15009675
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted on outstanding warrants.
In June 2014, the man attended the gas pumps at Mac’s Milk in Tilbury and pumped $30 worth of fuel into his vehicle. The man drove away without making any attempt to pay for the gas. Police identified the man and he was charged with theft under $5000.
In July 2014 the man attended Mac’s Milk to make restitution. As the clerk was writing him a receipt, the man slid the lottery ticket display open and stole a $20 lottery ticket. Again the man was charged with theft under $5000.
A warrant was issued for his arrest when he failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to attend court. Yesterday afternoon, the 26-year-old Windsor man was taken into custody and returned to Chatham-Kent pending a bail hearing.
Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK15009710
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted on an outstanding warrant.
In January 2014, the man entered into a Probation Order with conditions not to communicate with a specific Chatham man. In November 2014, the man was released from custody with a condition that he must reside a specific Wellington Street address.
In March and April 2015, the man failed to comply with conditions of his Probation Order by breaching his non-communication clause. The man also failed to report his change of address to police as per his Recognizance. Attempts were made to locate the man, however when unsuccessful, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Yesterday afternoon, police located the man in Chatham and he was taken into custody. The 31-year-old Chatham man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Break and Enter in Chatham CK15009663
Sometime between April 7 at 10:00 p.m. and April 8 at 6:40 a.m. unknown suspect(s) entered a trailer parked at Al’s Lawn Care on Grand Avenue East. Various Bosch, Stihl and Mastercraft tools valued at $10,000 were stolen.
