The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 112 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Three people were arrested, and one person was held for bail.
Man Charged with Impaired Driving CK15011507
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a 23 year old Chatham man for impaired driving just before midnight.
At approximately 11:40pm on Friday, April 24, 2015, the driver of a pickup truck made too wide of a turn, climbed a curb and ran across a small front lawn, on Park Lane. Further investigation revealed that the driver was driving his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The man was taken into custody and transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters for breath tests.
The 23-year-old Chatham man has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. He was held in custody until sober and released with conditions pending a future court date.
Mischief CK15011418
Sometime over the past week, unknown suspect(s) damaged the siding of a cottage on Taylor Road, near Ridgetown. Damage to the cottage is estimated at $20,000.

Man Charged with Assault CK15011517
The Chatham-Kent Police has arrested a man following a domestic disturbance in Harwich Township.
The man and his common-law partner were arguing. The incident escalated into a physical altercation as the man began assaulting her.
Officers attended the residence and the man was taken into custody. The 18-year-old Harwich Township man has been charged with two counts of assault and one count of assault with a weapon. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
911 Hang-up Calls
In the last 24 hours, police received 8, 911 hang-up calls. The Chatham-Kent Police Service would like to remind everyone that if you accidentally dial 911, please stay on the line. Should you hang up, the call taker will assume it’s an emergency and dispatch police. 911 Hang-up calls consume considerable resources, therefore police are asking all cell phone users to ‘lock it before you pocket.’
