The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 126 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Five people were arrested, one person was held for bail.

Break & Enter Investigation – CK15010663

On April 17th, 2015 Police responded to a reported Break & Enter on Front Line, Blenheim. Investigation revealed that during the early morning hours unknown person(s) entered a neighboring shed and removed several items including a Red Honda TRX 450CC 4-Wheeler with attached farming accessories. Investigation is continuing, anyone with information is urged to contact Constable Ted Krantz at 519-436-6600, extension #87052. Domestic related arrest – CK15010667

On the 17th of April 2015 Police responded to a Domestic disturbance on Baldoon Road, Chatham. Subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of a 26 year old male for Criminal Harassment, Sexual Assault, Assault and Utter Threats. The accused was transported to Headquarters pending Bail Court.

R.I.D.E. Program – CK15010761

On the 17th of April 2015 Officers conducted a R.I.D.E. spot check in Howard Township. In total, approximately 50 vehicles were checked. Police reported no violations by the vehicle operators and/or passengers.

Break & Enter related arrest made – CK15010772

During the early morning hours of April 18th, 2015 a concerned citizen contacted Police reporting suspicious activity at a residence on Lacroix Street, Chatham. Subsequent to contacting Police the concerned citizen maintain observations on two suspicious persons and provided Police with descriptive information. Upon Police arrival, the suspicious persons were located and found to be in possession of stolen property related to a previously reported Break & Enter. As a result, an 18 year old male & a 20 year old male were both arrested and charged with Trespass By Night, Break & Enter and Possession of Stolen Property. They were transported to Headquarters and release with conditions and a future court date.

Male arrested for Public Intoxication & Possession of a Controlled Substance – CK15010771

Shortly after midnight on April 18th, 2015 Police observed a male party acting suspiciously in the area of Canal Street East, Tilbury. As Police approached the male he immediately attempted to flee the area. Following a short foot pursuit the male was taken into custody for Public Intoxication. During a subsequent search, the male was found to be in possession of a suspected Controlled Substance. Following his arrest the male was issued an Offence Notice and a future court date.
