The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 91 calls for service in the past 24 hours. Five people were arrested.
Men Charged with Break and Enter CK15014956
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested four men following an incident in Tilbury.
Early this morning, the four men attended a residence on Queen Street to speak with a man regarding the theft of a dog that occurred nine months ago. As the man answered the door, he was grabbed and forced into a vehicle. He was driven to a nearby parking lot and assaulted. The men let him go and continued to a residence on Canal Street. They forced their way into a residence and assaulted a man inside the home with a beer bottle. The men re-attended the Queen Street address where they entered, assaulted and threatened four different men.
Around 2:00 a.m. all four men were located and taken into custody in the Canal Street and Queen Street area.
None of the victims required medical attention.
A 28-year-old Tecumseh man, 28-year-old man of no fixed address, 26-year-old Comber man and 33-year-old Windsor man have all been charged with multiple offences including break and enter, forcible confinement, assault and uttering threats. They have all been held pending a bail hearing.
Man Charged with Failing to Comply CK15014932
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man for breaching his release conditions.
On May 14, 2015 the man was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was to report to police headquarters every Sunday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to sign in. On May 17, 2015 the man attended after 8:00 p.m. and was cautioned regarding being late.
On May 24, 2015 the man attended at 5:30 p.m. to sign in as directed, nearly one and half hours late. He was taken into custody for failing to abide by the scheduled times.
The 46-year-old Chatham man has been charged with failing to comply. He has been held pending a bail hearing.
Mischief in Dover Township CK15014893
The Chatham-Kent police are looking for information regarding mischief along a nature trail in Mitchell’s Bay.
Sometime late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, unknown suspect(s) damaged ten signs and one large wood carving along the trail. Damage has been estimated at $1500.

Outreach for Hunger
The Chatham-Kent Police Service continues to accept donations to support the Outreach for Hunger food bank on Wellington Street East in Chatham. This food bank benefits many throughout Chatham-Kent who struggle daily with their family food needs.
