Couple Charged After Being Found Together CK15003321 / CK15003322

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man and woman after they were found together at a local motel.

On January 19, 2015 the man was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was not to communicate with the woman.

Yesterday afternoon, officers located the couple on Grand Avenue West in Chatham. Through investigation, officers learned that the woman was encouraging the communication. Both were taken in custody.

The 19-year-old Chatham woman was charged with facilitating a breach. She was released with conditions pending a future court date of February 27, 2015.

The 22-year-old Chatham man was charged with failing to comply. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man Charged with Domestic Related Offences CK15003357

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man following a domestic disturbance in Chatham.

Last night, the man and his common-law girlfriend began arguing at their residence. The incident escalated into a physical altercation as the man pushed the woman causing her to fall and then spit on her. The man also broke her alarm clock.

Upon police arrival, the man became confrontational with officers and refused to comply with their demands. As he was placed under arrest, the man turned his head and spit towards the woman again. He was taken into custody and removed from the residence.

Through investigation, the woman disclosed a previous incident of domestic violence.

The 18-year-old Chatham man has been charged with four counts of assault, mischief under $5000 and resist arrest. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Stolen Vehicle CK15003315

The Chatham-Kent police are looking for information regarding a stolen vehicle.

Sometime between January 30, 2015 and February 5, 2015, unknown suspect(s) stole a 1996 black two door Dodge Avenger from a parking lot on Charing Cross Road in Cedar Springs. The vehicle was last seen with Ontario licence plates AZHB 425.
