Impaired Driver CK15013260
On Saturday, May 9, 2015 at approximately 7:30 pm the Chatham-Kent Police Service received a call for service to attend in the Van Allen Avenue area in Chatham in regards to a motor vehicle collision. Police received information, at the time of the call, that the front end was caved in and the hood was popped up on the motor vehicle. The female driver was located, observed to be very unsteady on her feet, speech slurred and the odour of alcohol was detected on her breath. The driver was arrested, transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for breath tests, both of which were over the legal limit. The driver was later released from custody with a future court date.
Tilbury Man bail violations CK15013292
Chatham-Kent Police attended an address in Chatham regarding a male and female engaged in a verbal argument. While the male party was speaking to Police, an odour of alcohol was detected on his breath. Further investigation revealed that the male party was bound by court conditions not to consume alcohol. The 43 year old Tilbury man was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
Disturbance call leads to charges CK15013298
On May 10, at approximately 02:00 am, the Chatham-Kent Police received a call for service to attend the O’Neil Street area in Chatham to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers were met by one of the parties, a 33 year old Chatham man, who became belligerent and agitated showing signs of impairment to an extent of being a danger to himself. The man was subsequently arrested, lodged at Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters until sober.
