(Central Huron, ON) – A cyclist has died following a two vehicle crash that occurred on July 4th at approximately 7:30 pm. The cyclist was travelling westbound on Huron Road between Kinburn Line and Sanctuary Line when he was struck from behind by a westbound pickup truck. The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured in the crash.
Huron Road will remain closed between Kinburn Line and Sanctuary Line while OPP Technical Collision Investigators piece together the evidence. Victim Services of Huron County attended at the scene and with family for support.
The identity of the victim will be released pending notification of next of kin.
