Current North Huron CAO/Clerk Gary Long Continues To Block Transparency and Accountability – Time For a New CAO/Clerk?

North Huron CAO/Clerk Gary Long has repeatedly refused to provide
information to North Huron Councillors and the public. 
Recently Bernie bailey asked for Connie Goodall’s job description,
and stated that he has asked for it several times, and has never
received it.  A week after Bernie Bailey’s in chamber request,
he still did not have the information he requested.  This
should have taken Mr. Long seconds to accomplish.  The refusal
of Gary Long to do his job, and forward public information to a
sitting Councillor, clearly shows his contempt for Council,
Democracy and Transparency.  This has been demonstrated many
times in council chambers, as several Councillors have had to
repeatedly ask for information.

Gary Long’s refusal to do his job, led to Brock Vodden exposing his
ignorance about the public’s right to access information. 
Vodden was so sure he was correct, he agreed to resign if was
wrong.  Brock Vodden didn’t resign when proven wrong, showing
his true character.   Councillor Bernie Bailey took it as
a opportunity to attack his political rival by publicly stating ****
*** was getting drunk and attacking kids“.  Mr.
Bailey’s statement is clearly libelous and extremely
unprofessional.  There is little wonder why Mr. Bailey and the
rest of council refused to sign the “Code of Conduct”
