Curling Club Damage Results in Charges

(KINCARDINE, ON.) – The South Bruce OPP received a complaint of damage at the Walkerton Curling Club discovered on November 29, 2009. Culprits intentionally damaged the ice surface, curling stones and brooms. Investigators indicate the Criminal Mischief occurred between 7:00 p.m. on November 28th, and 2:00 a.m. on November 29th, 2009.

22 year old Cory McAllister of Hanover is facing a charge of Mischief over $5,000 and will appear in Provincial Court on February 15, 2010 to answer to the charge.

The investigation into the damage is continuing with the assistance of the South Bruce OPP Crime unit and further charges are possible. Detachment Commander Inspector Bill Klym says; “I’m hopeful that those responsible for the meaningless act of vandalism, do the right thing and come forward”.
