On Sunday October 30 2016 at 3:00 am, a Strathroy-Caradoc Police Officer was on patrol in the village of Mount Brydges and noticed a vehicle acting suspiciously. Our officer attempted to stop the vehicle which made overt attempts to evade being stopped by police. This motor vehicle was a cube van and it was recovered abandoned in the village a short time later. This particular vehicle has been linked to crime in London in recent weeks. Additional police officers attended the area and increased patrols in Mount Brydges through the night.
The Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service are committed to increased patrols in areas where we believe suspicious activities are taking place, however, we ask that the public please call into the station if you see activity that you believe to be suspicious. We request that you be our additional eyes and ears and help us detect crime and apprehend those responsible. We encourage our citizens to contact the Strathroy-Caradoc Communications Centre at 519-245-1250 or call 911 if you see a crime in progress.
