Type: Stolen Vehicle

Locations: Colborne Street East

Incident: A 2005 Chev Blazer was stolen between 19:30 and 21:15 on May 2, 2015. 15-13210

Type: Impaired Driver

Location: Erie Ave and Cayuga Street

Incident: On May 3 a 25 yr old Brantford man was arrested for impaired and dangerous driving after his vehicle was seen being driven erratically around 815pm. The vehicle was observed driving southbound on Erie Avenue when the driver attempted to make a left turn onto Cayuga Street. The vehicle struck the curb at Tutela Park and went up onto the sidewalk, continued on the sidewalk then struck a hydro pole which caused the wires overhead to fall on the road. The vehicle then struck a tree stump and continued on for another 10 metres on the sidewalk and then back onto the roadway of Cayuga Street.

Tutela Park was occupied with children and families who witnessed the event and called 9-1-1. No injuries were reported. Occ #15-13319

Type: Thefts from vehicles, garages

Locations: Evergreen, D’Aubigny area

Incident: On May 4 at approximately 4am a Community patrol officer located an open garage on Evergreen Cres., another citizen then reported found tools in their rear yard. An unknown male had been observed fleeing from area on foot. The officer located a male matching the description and caught and arrested a 17 year old male for possession under. Numerous stolen items were recovered, some of which were returned and others were brought and lodged at the police station. Further investigation is required to find the rightful owners.
