Incident: On Friday evening sometime before 11:00 p.m. on May 8, 2015 three bus shelters at separate locations had their glass enclosures smashed out.

Location: Balmoral Drive (300 block)
Incident: Sometime overnight on Friday May 8, 2015 suspect(s) entered a fenced compound at a golf course on Balmoral Drive. Four golf carts were removed from a fenced area and driven into a pond located on the property.

Incident: On Saturday, May 9, 2015, at around 7:15 p.m. the father of a 13 year old boy telephoned 9-1-1 to report that his son was completely out of control and destroying the home with a hammer and a baseball bat. Community Patrol Officers attended and located the youth in a garage. The youth had been locked out of the family home by his parents in fear of their safety. The youth was attempting to regain entry into the residence by smashing the door and locks. Officers began dialogue with the angered youth and eventually were able to peacefully resolve the issue and arrest him without incident. Originally the youth had a verbal dispute with his sibling and his parents regarding the use of a PlayStation 4 gaming system. The gaming system had been removed by the youth’s father as a punishment for his behaviour. The youth became irate and proceeded outside of the residence with a baseball bat and began to smash property outside.
A 13 year old youth is charged with the following offences;
Mischief under $5,000.00 and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose. The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Incident: On May 9, 2015 at around 11:00 p.m. BPS received a 9-1-1 emergency call regarding a domestic dispute. The victim had fled her residence to call police after being assaulted by her boyfriend. Community Patrol Officers attended and observed that the victim was visible upset, had redness around her neck area and a small cut on her neck. The woman was transported to the hospital for medical assessment as a precautionary measure. Investigation revealed that the victim and her boyfriend were engaged in a verbal argument which escalated into a physical confrontation. The accused pushed the victim into a fridge and grabbed the victim by the throat with both hands. The victim managed to escape and went into the living room to call for help, when the accused grabbed the phone from her, threw it and ripped the phone cord out of the wall. The accused then grabbed the victim again with both hands near her throat. The victim struggled with the accused and again able to break free. The accused then grabbed the victim’s cell phone from her, threw it at a wall and stepped on the phone smashing it. The accused then began punching at a bedroom door and ripping the door off the frame. The victim fled the residence at this time and called police.
The accused a 27 year old Brantford man was arrested without incident and is charged with Assault and Mischief under $5,000.00. The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Location: Lynnwood Drive
Incident: On May 9, 2015 it was discovered that multiple storage lockers had been broken into at an apartment building on Lynnwood Drive. In total 7 personal storage lockers containing a variety of items such as air conditioners were reported stolen. Investigation continues which includes a review of video surveillance.

Incident: On May 10, 2015 at around 1:30 p.m. BPS received a 9-1-1 emergency call from neighbours regarding a domestic dispute between a mother and teenaged boy. Community Patrol Officers attended and located the mother out front of her home. The accused, a 17 year old youth had lost control of his temper, spit on his mother at least three times and damaged the drywall by kicking at the wall. The mother had asked the accused to leave the home however he refused. The Officers approached the youth and advised him he was under arrest. The youth fled the home running away in an attempt to evade police. A short foot pursuit ensued where an Officer was able to catch the youth and take him to the ground to handcuff him. The accused continued to exhibit aggressive behaviour and resisted the arrest. The accused spat on one Officer and threatened to buy a gun and kill another Officer. The accused continued to resist arrest also threatened to slit the throat of an Officer once he is released from custody. Several Officers were needed to escort the accused into the cruiser. The accused continued his aggression and began kicking the doors of the cruiser. The accused was transported to the BPS where he continued his aggression refusing to exit the cruiser and yelling repeated racial slurs at the Officer in Charge at the police station.
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing charged with the following offences;
*Mischief under $5,000.00
*Assault
*Assault with intent to resist arrest
*Assault a Peace Officer
*Uttering Threats to Cause Death
Breach of Probation X2
