Incident: Sometime overnight on April 7, 2015 two vehicles parked on Deer Park Avenue had their windows smashed in order to gain entry. No items were reported stolen at the time of the report.

Incident: Sometime overnight on April 7, 2015 a passenger side window was smashed out on a vehicle parked on Nashua Drive. No items were reported stolen at the time of the report.
Type: Attempt Fraud
Location: Lynden Road
Date: April 8, 2015
Incident: On April 8, 2015 shortly after 6:00 p.m. a man entered a business on Lynden Road. The man selected items off of shelves and concealed them in a bag. The man then attended the merchandise return aisle and attempted to return the concealed items which he had just selected from the aisles. The man had a receipt for the same type of product on his persons. An employee became suspicious of the return transaction, which delayed the refund process. The man then walked out of the store leaving the return items and receipt at the counter. Employees followed the man outside of the store and police were contacted. BPS Community Patrol Officers attended and continued the investigation. Video surveillance captured the accused enter the business, select merchandise from the shelves and conceal them in a bag. At 6:30 p.m. the accused was arrested and charged with Attempt Fraud under $5,000.00, and Breach of Probation. The accused, a 32 year old Brantford man was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Incident: On April 8, 2015 sometime between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. a vehicle parked on Dundas Street was damaged. The driver’s side front tire was slashed and the driver side mirror damaged.
