Location: West Street (600 block)
Incident: On April 14, 2015 at around 11:30 a.m. a woman shopping at a business on West Street had her purse stolen from her shopping cart. The purse also contained a set of car keys for her vehicle. Video surveillance is being reviewed.

Location: King George Road (1-100 block)
Incident: On April 14, 2015 at around 4:00 p.m. a woman shopping at a business on King George Road was distracted and her wallet stolen from her purse. A female suspect distracted the victim by asking her questions regarding her opinion on some merchandise. The suspect asked the victim to retrieve some pepper off a shelf for her. While the victim grabbed the merchandise from the shelf it is believed that the suspect reached into a partially unzipped purse and removed a black ladies wallet containing identification, credit cards and cash. The victim began to telephone credit card companies to cancel the accounts. When the victim telephoned Sears to cancel her credit card, she was advised that an attempt was made to make a purchase on her card; however the person was unable to provide a pin (personal identification number). Video surveillance is being reviewed.

Stay with you purse, briefcase or backpack at all times
Never leave these items unattended in shopping carts, dressing rooms, public washroom
floors, restaurants, movie theatres, your car, to name a few examples
Make it a habit to never leave your purse in the fold-out seat of a shopping cart
Unless absolutely necessary, never have you passport, birth certificate and/or social
identification number card or pin numbers in your purse.
*Remember you need identification to replace identification and identity theft is serious.

Location: Henry Street (400 block)
Incident: Sometime overnight on April 13, 2015 exterior rubber mats were stolen from a business lot. The value is around $1,000.00.
Type: Damage to Property
Date: April 14, 2015
Location: Grey Street
Incident: Sometime overnight on April 13, 2015 two vehicles parked in a lot on Grey street were damaged. Some type of glue product had been placed into the door locks.
