On September 25, 2015 the Guelph Police became involved in a fraud investigation on the request of the Niagara Regional Police. It is alleged that a Guelph male had made online orders from a St. Catherines company using stolen credit cards. The investigation led to the responsible male being arrested on October 1, 2015 in Guelph. Several thousand dollars’ worth of product that he had received was recovered.
A 26-year-old Guelph man has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on October 2, 2015.
