(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Friday September 28, 2012 at 9:23 p.m., Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision on Perth Line 20, east of Perth Road 163 (Fullarton).
Investigation revealed that a Honda Civic had been travelling westbound on Perth Line 20 when it drove onto the gravel shoulder on the north side of the road. The vehicle lost control and crossed both lanes of Perth Line 20 striking a tree south of the roadway.
The lone 41 year old female driver, a Stratford resident, was removed from the vehicle by members of the West Perth Fire Department. She was taken to Stratford General Hospital by Perth County Ambulance with major injuries. She was subsequently transported to London Victoria Hospital.
Perth Line 20 between Road 151 and Perth Road 163 was closed from Friday September 28th at 9:30 p.m., until the early hours of Saturday September 29th. This allowed for the OPP Western Region Traffic Collision Investigation Unit to safely investigate this crash. Investigation into this crash is continuing.
