On August 10, 2015 at noon, a 25 year old male was driving a crane across Waydom Drive in Ayr, when the crane came into contact with overhead lines knocking down 2 hydro lines. Hydro attended and had to cut the power to the lines causing disruption to all businesses in the area. There were no injuries reported at the time, and the repair took several hours to complete.
