At the fire service meeting last night, Gary Long presented the North Huron fire department budget, and Morris-Turnberry presented parts of their report on fire services. Most notably, North Huron did not offer a reduction in price for fire service, even though the service area has been reduced.
There was no progress, no deal, and no future date was set. This was seen a stalling tactic by an angry public. Outside, after the brief and unproductive meeting, angry citizens were heard cursing and calling both councils cowards”. Several people stated that both councils should be replaced
