On Thursday, August 6, 2015 Police responded to the area of Northlake Drive and Pinebrook Place Waterloo for a cow running loose. Just after 11:00am, a cow escaped from the St. Jacobs Farmers Market and ran into a residential neighbourhood. Attempts were made to subdue the cow with a tranquilizer, however attempts were unsuccessful. When the animal became aggressive threatening public safety it was put down by the police.
