(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) At 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday July 17, 2013 Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to a single motor vehicle crash along Hwy 23 approximately 50 meters south of Perth Road 163.
Investigation revealed that a 2005 Kia SUV operated by a 58 year old female from Bellwood had been travelling north bound on Hwy 23. The vehicle left the roadway struck the east ditch and rolled 2 1/2 times coming to rest on its roof. The West Perth Fire Department and Perth County EMS attended the scene. The driver and the 74 year old male passenger from Bellwood were transported to Stratford General Hospital, where they were treated and released.
The vehicle sustained extensive damage making it difficult to visually ascertain the make and model of the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle has been charged with careless driving”. “
